CfRN to partner with Bhutan on Capacity Building Training for Paris Agreement
February 21st, 2025, Thimpu, Bhutan; The government of Bhutan and CfRN have been working together for the past few years on capacity-building training and Dr Jagdish Kishwan, CfRN policy advisor for the Asia-Pacific region recently visited the country. CfRN will continue with both in-country and online capacity building sessions for the Bhutanese Forest Department.
During his latest five-day visit, Dr Kishwan met with the Bhutan Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources representatives and others from 10- 15 February to discuss the Bhutan’s needs for submitting under Article 5 of the Paris Agreement, how the new Article 6 crediting mechanism works as well as national registries and other needs for national implementation needs.
CfRN will follow up with a second in-country meeting for this year, requested by Bhutan, for April in which training on CfRN Â Land Use Assessment App will take place.
