Donate stock to CfRN
Donating stock is a powerful and effective way to support CfRN’s mission of ending and reversing global deforestation.
How It Works
Giving stock is a simple 2-step process:
- Make your gift,
- Inform CfRN of your gift.
Please note: Your financial institution will not tell us who donates securities due to privacy concerns. We need you to inform CfRN of your stock donation so we can appropriately credit and acknowledge your gift.

Completing the two-step process to donate stock
Step 1: Transfer stock to CfRN
Contact the financial institution where your stocks are held and let them know that you would like to transfer shares to Coalition for Rainforest Nations (CfRN). Should you need it, CfRN’s Employer Identification Number (EIN)/Federal Tax Identification Number is 26-3221530. CfRN is a registered 501c3 charitable organization.
You will also need CfRN’s DTC code and account number to donate stock. You can access our DTC code and account number here.
Step 2: Let us know about your stock gift
CfRN does not receive donor information when stock gifts are transferred to our account. Please inform CfRN of your gift so we can send you a tax receipt and properly credit and acknowledge your gift. We need to know the number of shares, name of security donated, and transfer date in order to match your gift. To inform CfRN of your gift, please either:
- Call (646-448-6870, ext. 6895) or email the Development Team (giving@cfrn.org), and include the information in the above paragraph.
